CSA Week 6 and Bread

You see here an explosion of vegetables: fennel, cucumbers, carrots, zucchini, beans, tomatoes, basil lettuce, and onions! The addition of tomatoes is particularly exciting, since they are my favorite summer foods by far. One can make tomatoes into so many thing: tomato sauce, pizza, tomato salad, roasted tomatoes, tarts…

We have also been trying to make bread on our own – it is not quite up to the standards of our bread tutor, but it does look nice on a blog. The shaping of dough is an art, an art that requires practice:
